Atlas Teaching Fellows are new to education and desire intentional learning, observation, and practice that will allow them to excel within their own Atlas classroom after their first year as a Fellow.

What You’ll Do
- 
Engage with dedication in Atlas' Teaching Fellow program
- 
Teach under the guidance of exemplary teachers and instructional coaches
- 
Effectively receive, retain, and apply feedback and guidance given from various coaching parties
- 
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and is appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students
- 
Help to guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and objectives as indicated in the assigned lesson plan(s)
- 
Develop meaningful relationships with students and make a tangible impact on the minds' and lives' of students
- 
Maintain a neat and orderly classroom
- 
Ensure that students are never left unattended in the classroom
- 
Be knowledgeable in the procedures for referring students with disciplinary problems
- 
Perform other related duties as assigned
Compensation & Schedule
- Salaried/Exempt
- 
Annual Salary: $36,750*
- 
Full Time; Monday – Friday; Occasional evenings and weekends as needed

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- 
High School diploma or equivalent
- 
Ability to pass required background screening pursuant to CRS § 22-30.5-110.7
- 
Possess a sincere desire to become a full-time teacher with Atlas
- Be willing to obtain necessary in-field endorsement after fellowship has concluded
- 
Possess a growth mindset that values feedback and is able to successfully implement such information
- 
Be 100% committed to the Atlas mission and educational equity
- 
Demonstrated maturity, humility, self-reflection, and a strong work ethic
- 
Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor in the face of competing demands and external pressures
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Education) or in active pursuit of a Bachelor's degreePrior teaching experience with low-income communities
Essential Job Functions

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
