Highschool STEM Tutor (Science/Math)

Overview

Kairos Academics is hiring! Located in Irvine, CA, Kairos Academics is looking for high school Math and/or Science tutors. Our team develops individualized learning programs tailored to each student's needs to supplement the student's current studies. Sessions are either delivered in a one-on-one setting or a small group class. We are looking for qualified tutors to join our team. Prospective students should possess the following qualities:

• Genuinely passionate about helping students succeed and willing to go the extra mile to ensure that they do so
• Knowledgeable in subject material
• Experienced in teaching and mentoring
• Patient, professional, and prompt

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, personalized academic tutoring
• Schedule with students and adjust as needed
• Provided timely feedback of students to both parents and Kairos as needed (usually once a month)

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or holding a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in a related field
• Substantive experience tutoring or teaching middle and/or high school students
• Reliable form of transportation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Training available for qualified candidates

Possible subjects to teach:

• High school level math (pre-algebra, algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, geometry)
• High school level science (biology, chemistry, physics, integrated science)
• Honors level math (enhanced math, honors math)
• Honors level science (Honors integrated science, honors science)
• AP Level math (AP Stats, AP precalculus, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC)
• AP Level science (AP Bio, AP Chem, AP Physics, AP Enviro)
• AP Level computer science (AP Computer Science A, AP Computer Science Principles)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
