Position Overview
Provide subject matter expertise, quality assurance, analytics, data management, and reporting support for Internal Cigna Medical and External Non-Cigna Medical population episodic groupers. Specifically, supporting Episode Treatment Groups (ETG), Episode Risk Groups (ERG), and Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) episodic grouper data. Tasks include data analysis, data quality assurance and validation, data extraction and manipulation, creation of queries and reports, assisting with external vendor relationships, and working with matrix partners as needed.

Responsibilities
< >Provide business ownership and subject matter expertise for Episodic Groupers (Internal Cigna Medical and External Non-Cigna Medical populations).Ensure grouper input/output accuracy through development and execution of production checkout process.Provide expert consultation and communicate to stakeholders on data availability, content, and quality.Collaborate with business and IT partners to ensure new development, enhancements or fixes meet user needs.Manage relationships with grouper vendors by fostering a collaborative relationship for our mutual benefit.Prepare and implement plans for software upgrades that would synchronize with ongoing initiatives.Ensure that grouper reference files and operational reference files are updated as needed.Ensure that customer and provider lettering outputs are generated accurately and timely.Use research skills to analyze data for policy/operations decisions and root cause analysis.Work effectively and efficiently on multiple tasks and deadlines in order to produce high quality results.Ability to adapt within an environment which requires constant technical skill development and expansion of business expertise.

Qualifications
< >5-8 years of experience in health care analytics/information management role.Experience with relational database concepts and applications, analytic data development and decision support tools such as: Databricks, R, Python, Access, Excel.Strong understanding of health care data systems in support of core functions such as claim, eligibility, providers, encounters, reimbursement.
Desired Experience
< >Expertise in condition classification, episodes of care, risk assessment and/or evidence-based practice methodologies preferred.Experience with Clinical Data (Claims/encounters/EHRs, industry standard codes (ex. ICD-10 diagnosis codes, CPTs, SNOMED codes) preferred.Comfortable working with different systems and accessing various sources of data.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational skills.Exhibits a strong customer service focus with demonstrated ability to adapt to ever changing business environment to resolve issues creatively.
Required Education
< >Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in business, finance, economics, health administration, statistics, mathematics, or equivalent training and mastery.
