Job Summary:
Directly under the supervision of the Regional Health Information Manager. Assist in the supervision of the day to day operations of the HIM Specialist, Analysis, Scanning, and ROI staff. Works closely with physician and physician extenders to provide assistance in chart correction. Assist with the expedition and success of the Medical Staff Delinquency Process. Coordinates analyst activities related to record and chart completion on a daily basis. Instrumental in the forms management process. Supervises the Operational Epic work queues and error queues. Assist with the supervision of Iris, Right Fax and the Proxy process. Responsibilities for this individual include validating scheduled staffing to accomplish assigned task. Assures that staff is executing the discharge death chart within 72 hours. Assist with the coordination and implementation of the EDRS. Maintains the 3M system including updates and user access. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.

Qualifications:
Education/Skills
High school diploma required. A minimum of 2 years of college preferred. Associate degree in HIM related field preferred.
Work Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of experience is required in a supervisory position in the Health Information
Management field. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products with proficiency in Excel and Word required. Knowledge of health information systems as well as coding and abstracting systems required. Knowledge of electronic medical record systems as well as content of the electronic medical record required.
