Hindi Legal Linguist

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Hindi Legal Linguist to support our ongoing and upcoming legal language projects. The role involves translating and reviewing legal documents from Hindi to English while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with legal terminology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate legal documents from Hindi to English with high accuracy
• Review and proofread translated content for quality and legal consistency
• Maintain correct legal terminology and tone
• Follow project guidelines and client instructions
• Deliver work within agreed timelines

Types of Documents:

• Contracts and agreements
• Court judgments and petitions
• Legal notices and affidavits
• Government and regulatory documents
• Other legal and compliance-related content

Required Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in Hindi and English
• Proven experience in legal translation or legal linguistics
• Good understanding of Indian legal terminology and concepts
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree or certification in Translation, Linguistics, or Law
• Prior experience with long-term legal translation projects
• Familiarity with CAT tools is a plus

Job Type: Freelance
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
