Job Summary
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Birth-Age 2 Teachers with a valid EDU 119 certification to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers, supporting their developmental milestones through engaging activities and tailored lesson plans. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive learning atmosphere. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on early childhood development while working within a collaborative educational setting.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum focusing on early childhood development, literacy, math, and physical education.
  • Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth in infants and toddlers.
  • Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, organized, and stimulating environment for children.
  • Utilize behavior management techniques to support positive social interactions and emotional regulation among children.
  • Monitor individual progress through observations and assessments aligned with developmental milestones.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists in early intervention or special education to support each child's unique needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of children's development, attendance, and classroom activities.
  • Incorporate Montessori or other educational philosophies as appropriate to enhance learning experiences.
  • Support children's welfare by ensuring their safety, health, and well-being at all times.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood education, classroom management, and curriculum enhancement.

Qualifications

  • Valid EDU 119 certification required for teaching birth through age 2.
  • Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of childhood development theories, including special education and early intervention strategies.
  • Strong skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
  • Familiarity with literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and standardized testing methods for early learners.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage parents.
  • Experience with Creative Curriculum or other specialized early childhood educational approaches is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
