Responsibilities for Purchasing Manager
��Manage the purchasing process including the buying, selling and distributions
aspects of the company.
��Review new project proposals for the company.
��Communicate with the marketing and Design team to effect working strategies.
Analyze existing purchasing processes for performance
��Implement improvements to existing purchasing processes and delivery systems.
��Handle contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers
��Identify ideal suppliers based on quality, cost and reliability.
��Qualifications for Purchasing Manager
��Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
��Prior experience working in the purchasing department in the Turnkey Interior /
Construction industry required.
��Strong understanding of the market conditions and trends
��Working knowledge of negotiation techniques in the industry
��Exceptional interpersonal and social skills to build a good rapport.
��Positive and professional demeanor.
��Excellent verbal and written communication skills
��Great team player
��Flexible to travel and work long hours as necessary.
��Develops a purchasing strategy.
��Reviews and processes purchase orders.
��Manages other members of the purchasing team.
��Maintains records of goods ordered and received.
��Negotiates prices and contracts with suppliers.
��Builds and maintains relationships with vendors.
��Selects prospective vendors and negotiates contracts.
��Evaluates vendors based on quality, timeliness, and price.
��Schedules deliveries and ensures timely fulfilment of orders.
��Researches and evaluates vendors to compare pricing and services.
��Coordinates with fellow managers to monitor inventory and determine supply
needs.
��Ensures quality of procured items and addresses problems when they arise.
��Keeps up with trends in procurement.
��Travels to vendor locations.
��Stays current with purchasing technology trends and oversees purchase and
implementation, as necessary.
