Overview We are seeking an experienced Driver Hiring Manager to lead our recruiting and onboarding efforts for professional CDL drivers. This role is critical to ensuring we maintain a strong driver workforce, reduce turnover, and stay compliant with all federal and state transportation regulations. The Driver Hiring Manager will oversee the full hiring process—from sourcing and interviewing to onboarding and retention programs—while building strong relationships with drivers and ensuring our company remains an employer of choice in the trucking industry.⸻Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage the driver recruiting process, from job postings through offer acceptance and onboarding. • Source qualified CDL drivers using multiple channels (job boards, referral programs, recruiting events, driver databases). • Screen applicants for qualifications, driving history, employment verification, and safety record. • Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and state regulations (background checks, Clearinghouse, MVR, PSP, medical certification, etc.). • Coordinate orientation, training, and onboarding of new drivers. • Partner with Operations, Safety, and HR to meet fleet staffing needs and reduce driver turnover. • Track KPIs including time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and retention rates; provide reporting to senior management. • Manage driver advertising budget and relationships with recruiting platforms/vendors (e.g., Tenstreet, Indeed, Craigslist, social media). • Develop and implement driver referral and retention programs. • Maintain knowledge of current driver hiring trends, wage expectations, and compliance changes.⸻QualificationsRequired: • 3+ years of experience in driver recruiting, HR, or transportation management. • Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations, driver qualification files (DQFs), Clearinghouse, and compliance requirements. • Proven track record in CDL driver recruiting and hiring in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple openings simultaneously. • Proficiency with ATS systems, EDI platforms, or driver management software (Tenstreet, Samsara, McLeod, or similar). • Ability to build strong relationships with drivers and operations staff.Preferred: • Prior experience in an asset-based trucking company or logistics environment. • Knowledge of recruiting metrics and driver retention strategies. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred for driver communication.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
