Kincheloe South at the Jessica Beath Clinic in Ashland, Virginia is seeking LICENSED Veterinary Technicians to join our busy high-volume, high-quality Clinic.

Our environment is FAST PACED with a staff committed to reducing animal homelessness. The qualified candidates must be a reliable team player and be able to coordinate/assist in high-volume spay/neuter procedures (35+ per day) and/or wellness/diagnostic appointments. Hours are typically 8:00-5:30 - we will consider both part- and full-time positions.

<Responsibilities>

• Lead the recruitment process by sourcing, interviewing, and selecting qualified veterinary technician candidates who possess kennel experience, veterinary terminology knowledge, and animal handling skills.

• Collaborate with veterinary staff to understand staffing needs related to dental terminology, animal physiology, and critical care experience.
• Maintain accurate records of all hiring activities, including applicant tracking and compliance documentation.
• Promote a positive candidate experience by providing clear communication about job expectations, role responsibilities, and clinic culture.
• Assist in developing training programs that enhance skills such as X-ray operation, animal catheterization, dog training, and laboratory procedures.
• Support ongoing team development by identifying skill gaps in animal husbandry, pet care, and veterinary technician experience.

<Skills>

• Proven kennel experience combined with comprehensive animal husbandry knowledge.
• Strong understanding of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology.
• Experience with laboratory procedures and veterinary critical care practices.
• Skilled in dog handling, animal restraint techniques, and pet grooming.
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques and X-ray procedures within a veterinary setting.
• Ability to train staff in dog training methods and pet care best practices.
