HOD – Maintenance for Factory (Male)

A leading manufacturing firm is looking for an experienced HOD – Maintenance, to lead and manage the complete Mechanical, Electrical, and Utility maintenance functions of a Ferro Silicon plant (7.5 MVA X 2) equipped with Submerged Arc Furnaces (SAF) at 132KV level.

This role requires the selected candidate to reside at the plant premises (Byrnihat, Meghalaya), with bachelor's accommodation and food provided by the company.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all plant machinery.

- Ensure uptime and smooth functioning of Submerged Arc Furnaces, transformers, compressors, hydraulic systems, cranes, gearboxes, DG sets, etc.

- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules.

- Ensure timely availability of spares and critical equipment.

- Provide technical support to the Production team for furnace operations.

- Coordinate shutdowns and ensure minimal production loss.

- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments.

- Review and approve purchase indent for spares and maintenance materials.

- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement.

- Maintain daily maintenance logs, machinery history records, and downtime reports.

- Present monthly maintenance performance reports to management.

- Plan and manage maintenance budgets.

Candidate Requirements

Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgy, or related fields.

Minimum 6–12 years of maintenance experience in heavy industries.

Mandatory:

-Experience in Ferro Alloys / Ferro Silicon / Steel / Submerged Arc Furnace plants.

-Must be willing to work full-time at the Byrnihat, Meghalaya plant.

Service Contract: 15-month service bond (mandatory for this role).

Immediate joiners preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
