Holistic Scalp & Hair Therapist (Women’s Wellness & Hair Health)

Job Overview

We are looking for a trained and intuitive Holistic Scalp & Hair Therapist who specializes in scalp health, hair nourishment, stress relief, and women’s wellness therapies. This role is not focused on chemical salon services such as rebonding, smoothening, or coloring, but on therapeutic scalp rituals, relaxation, and long-term hair health.

The ideal candidate understands the connection between stress, hormones, scalp condition, and hair health, and delivers deeply relaxing, restorative experiences using natural and holistic methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform holistic scalp and head therapies, including:
• Therapeutic head & scalp massage
• Hair oil rituals and nourishment therapies
• Scalp detox and exfoliation treatments
• Stress-relief and nervous-system calming scalp rituals
• Assess scalp and hair conditions (dryness, sensitivity, hair fall, tension, fatigue)
• Customize treatments based on women’s life stages (stress, postpartum, hormonal changes, menopause)
• Use natural, herbal, ayurvedic, or organic products
• Maintain a deeply calming, mindful, and healing client experience
• Educate clients on scalp care routines, hair wellness, and lifestyle support
• Maintain hygiene, tool care, and treatment room standards as per spa SOPs
• Keep client records, progress notes, and feedback
• Collaborate with spa therapists, yoga, or wellness practitioners for integrated care

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Certified Hair Therapist / Scalp Therapist / Holistic Therapist
• Formal training or strong experience in:
• Scalp massage and head therapy
• Hair oil treatments and scalp care rituals
• Stress-relief or relaxation-based therapies
• Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on experience
• Understanding of scalp health, hair growth cycles, and contraindications
• Strong client-care, empathy, and communication skills
• Professional, gentle, and wellness-oriented approach

Preferred Qualifications

• Training in:
• Ayurveda or herbal hair therapies
• Shiro Abhyanga / Shirodhara (if applicable)
• Aromatherapy or energy-balancing techniques
• Experience in luxury wellness spas, retreats, or women-focused wellness centers
• Knowledge of hormone-related hair concerns (hair fall, thinning, sensitivity)
