The Home Appliance Technician (Refrigerator, Washing Machine & A/C Technician) is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing household appliances, with a primary focus on refrigerators, washing machines, and air-conditioning systems. The role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and a customer-focused approach to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation & Commissioning

Install, test, and commission refrigerators, washing machines, and air-conditioning units in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.

  • Fault Diagnosis & Troubleshooting

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues using appropriate tools and systematic troubleshooting techniques.

  • Repair & Replacement

Perform repair work on refrigerators, washing machines, and A/C systems, including replacement of faulty components such as compressors, motors, PCBs, sensors, valves, and wiring.

  • Preventive Maintenance

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to improve performance, energy efficiency, and equipment lifespan.

  • Customer Service & Communication

Clearly explain technical issues, repair procedures, and preventive care instructions to customers. Ensure professional conduct and customer satisfaction at all times.

  • Service Documentation

Maintain accurate job cards, service reports, parts replacement records, and invoice details for each service assignment.

  • Health, Safety & Compliance

Follow all safety protocols, electrical standards, refrigerant handling regulations, and manufacturer recommendations during service and repair work.

  • Technical Support

Provide basic technical guidance to customers over the phone or on-site for minor operational or usage-related issues.

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in electronics, electrical, or refrigeration & air-conditioning preferred
  • Proven experience in servicing and repairing refrigerators, washing machines, and split/window A/C systems
  • Strong electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of refrigerant handling and safety practices
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Good customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to obtain vendor/manufacturer certifications as required

Pay: From BD220.000 per month
