Home Attendant/Nanny

Job Overview
Seeking reliable in home attendant for energetic, fun, small stature, non-verbal 25 yo male.

Prefer 1 year commitment.

Flexible hours, pick days: Mon, Fri and/or Sat, pick hours between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm and pick up additional weekdays when available.

Georgetown, TX - I-35/Hwy29 area;

$20.00/ hour, paid every week to start; salary review in 3 months.

Requirements:

Reliable transportation;

Reliable schedule;

Pass drug and background tests;

Reliable with professional boundaries;

Submit resume with 2 recent employment and 2 personal references for consideration.

Duties

Guidance with Life Skills tasks including: daily hygiene, meal prep/eating, dishes to sink, putting up laundry, put games away after play, etc.;

Reinforce desired and redirect undesired behaviors using appropriate verbal and/or physical prompts;

Engage and encourage growth of current abilities: expressive language, problem solving, handwriting, painting, coloring, spelling/reading, general play;

Daily exercise: trike ride, walk trails on property, soccer kicks, basketball dunks;

Skills

Speak, read and write adult English fluently;

Conservative approach to behavior implementation;

Ability to go with the flow, take direction for changing environment/circumstances, accept and act on feedback;

Ability to work independently with minimal direction;

Physically fit - support in home activities;

ASL is a plus;

Experience with Autism and non-verbal is a plus.
