Home Care (Nursing Assistant- New Born)

Job Summary

The Home Care (Nursing Aide) for Newborn Care will provide safe, compassionate, and reliable assistance to newborns in a home care setting. The Home Care will support the infant’s daily needs, ensure proper hygiene and comfort, and assist parents with basic newborn care under the guidance of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for the newborn, including feeding support, burping, diaper changing, and bathing.
• Monitor the newborn’s comfort, sleep patterns, and general well-being.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for the infant.
• Assist parents in understanding basic newborn routines and care techniques.
• Report any changes in the infant’s condition or behavior to the supervising nurse/physician immediately.
• Support breastfeeding mothers with positioning and handling (if applicable).
• Ensure safe handling and positioning of the newborn at all times.
• Follow infection prevention and control guidelines strictly.
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism while working in the family’s home.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Certification or training in newborn care, nursing assistant, or patient care assistant program (preferred).
• Previous experience in newborn or pediatric care (at least 1–2 years desirable).
• Basic knowledge of infant hygiene, feeding, and safety practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to detail.
• Physically able to perform caregiving tasks (lifting, bending, standing for long periods).
