Job Summary
As our Outside Sales Representative, you will be the face of our agency in the community, building and nurturing referral relationships with physicians, hospital discharge planners, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, case managers, and other healthcare professionals. Your territory is your business, and you'll be empowered to own it.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a defined sales territory through consistent in-person visits, prospecting, and follow-up with referral sources
- Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians' offices, hospital social workers, discharge planners, rehab facilities, and senior living communities
- Educate referral sources on our agency's services, care capabilities, and the benefits of home health care for their patients
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly referral and admission goals
- Track all sales activity, referral data, and pipeline progress using CRM tools
- Collaborate closely with clinical and intake teams to ensure smooth patient transitions and exceptional service delivery
- Represent the agency at community events, health fairs, and networking functions
- Identify new market opportunities and stay current on competitor activity and industry trends
- Provide regular territory updates and strategic insights to leadership
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of outside / field sales experience — demonstrated ability to prospect, close, and manage a territory
- Proven track record of building relationships and consistently meeting sales goals
- Strong communicator — comfortable presenting to physicians, administrators, and clinical staff
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (mileage reimbursement provided)
- Proficiency with CRM software and basic Microsoft Office tools
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and genuine care for the populations we serve
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience in home health, hospice, medical device, pharmaceutical, or other healthcare-related sales
- Existing relationships within the local healthcare referral community
- Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid home health benefits and regulations
- Background in clinical fields (nursing, social work, therapy) transitioning into a sales role
- Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $45,000 per year
Commission: Uncapped Performance Bonuses
