The Home Care Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and managing caregiver schedules to ensure consistent, high-quality care for clients. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with caregivers, clients, and office staff. Bilingual communication skills are essential/preferred to support a diverse client and caregiver population. The scheduler plays a critical role in maintaining continuity of care and responding quickly to staffing needs or changes.
Key Responsibilities:
Create, maintain, and adjust caregiver schedules to meet client care plans and service requirements
Coordinate shift coverage, including last-minute call-offs and emergency staffing needs
Communicate schedules and updates clearly with caregivers and clients in both languages as needed
Match caregivers with clients based on skills, availability, language compatibility, and preferences
Monitor and track caregiver attendance, punctuality, and shift completion
Ensure compliance with company policies, client care plans, and regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate scheduling records in scheduling software and internal systems
Collaborate with care coordinators, supervisors, and HR to support staffing needs
Address client or caregiver concerns related to scheduling in a timely and professional manner
Assist with onboarding new caregivers by integrating them into the schedule
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
Previous scheduling experience, preferably in home care or healthcare
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills in both languages
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Proficiency in scheduling software and wellsky
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Schedule:
Full-time position (typically 40 hours per week)
May include evenings, weekends, or on-call rotation as needed
