Position Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Overview
Family Care for You is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to join our team. DSPs play a vital role in helping individuals with developmental disabilities, medical needs, or daily living challenges live as independently and fully as possible.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with daily living activities such as personal care, hygiene, and meal preparation.
• Support clients in community involvement, recreational activities, and skill-building opportunities.
• Assist with mobility, transportation, and appointments as needed.
• Administer medication reminders and follow individual care plans.
• Foster independence, self-advocacy, and social interaction in a safe, supportive environment.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate regularly with supervisors and families.
• Ensure a safe and respectful environment for all clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in caregiving, home health, or direct support preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must pass background checks and meet all state regulatory requirements.
