Home Health Aide (HHA)

Job Summary
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Home Health Aide (HHA), where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, personalized care to individuals in their homes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support clients with a variety of needs, from assisting with daily activities to managing complex health conditions. Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
  • Monitor and observe patients’ health status, recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature accurately in electronic health record (EHR) or electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Support medication administration following proper protocols and maintaining detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Provide specialized care for clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other memory impairments, including memory care and dementia-specific activities
  • Assist with catheter care, wound care, hospice support, and other complex medical procedures as trained
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding while adhering to dietary restrictions and medical guidelines
  • Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment to promote overall well-being

Skills

  • Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments with long-term care experience
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices for accurate patient records
  • Ability to perform patient observation effectively and recognize changes in condition that require escalation
  • Skilled in working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized care
  • Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as hospice care or Alzheimer’s care are a plus
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation and patient records management
  • Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills who thrives in a home & community care setting
  • Ability to work independently or live-in employment arrangements while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PRN

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
