Home Health Caregiver -

We are looking for a compassionate CNA/Home Health Aide to provide assistance in daily living and personal care services in patients homes in accordance with an established care plan. In addition, we are looking for Caregivers with Alzheimers/Dementia experience, transfer, hoyer lift experience. Companion Caregivers are welcome to apply as well. Language skills for all dialects in the nothern virginia area.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care services in patients residences/facility residence - Personal Care and Companion Car
• Perform domestic and household tasks - cleaning, laundry, change bed, etc.
• Transport and accompany patients to doctors office or to hospital
• Reminders for simple prescribed medications
• Assist with clients personal care activities(Activities of Daily Living)
• Monitor patients (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc) and report on their condition
• Maintain patients care plan and other medical records and document provided services- wellsky
• Assist patients with mobility and physical therapies/exercises
• Instruct and counsel patients and families on diet and exercise
• Collect routine specimens
• Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support

Skills and Experience

• Personal and Companion care aide experience - Alzheimers/Dementia , Parkinsons,
• Proven working experience as home health aide/CNA - Activities of Daily Living(ADLs)
• Ability to monitor vital signs and to collect and share information - office/nurse/doctors
• Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards
• Proficiency in English, Arabic, Farsi, Hindu, other languages
• Nursing and health care administration skills
• Caring and compassionate personality
• Current CPR certificate
• First Aid training
• Valid driver’s license
• CNA/PCA other certifications

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
