We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Home Health Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to ensure the highest standards of compliance, safety, and quality in home health services. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive audits of home health documentation to verify accuracy and compliance with HIPAA, Medicare, and JCAHO standards.
- Review clinical records for proper CPT coding, ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding accuracy, ensuring correct billing and reimbursement processes.
- Monitor adherence to FDA regulations related to medical devices and pharmaceuticals used in home health settings.
- Develop and implement quality assurance protocols that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to address compliance gaps, provide training on documentation standards, and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain detailed records of audits, findings, corrective actions, and follow-up activities to support organizational accountability.
- Stay current with evolving healthcare regulations and industry standards to proactively update QA procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience in healthcare quality assurance or compliance management within a home health or similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules, Medicare guidelines, FDA regulations, and JCAHO accreditation standards.
- Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems, and ICD coding best practices for accurate billing and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret healthcare regulations and translate them into actionable QA processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for conducting thorough audits and assessments.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and deliver training on compliance topics.
- Prior experience managing or supporting compliance programs in a regulated healthcare environment is highly preferred.
