Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated, self-starter to join our team to support the hiring and onboarding of our field positions. The recruiting coordinator will support the hiring needs for our Central/SW VA offices by actively recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding for open roles. Please note that this is an in-person position, not remote!
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Director of Recruiting/ Branch Operation Manager to lead full-cycle recruitment efforts in our Central/SW VA offices
- Screen and interview for potential candidates
- Post jobs as needed on recruiting platforms
- Schedule New Hire orientation sessions for field staff
- Sending and reviewing onboarding documents prior to orientation
- Conduct in-person interviews, onboarding & orientation of new hires (will need to be able to travel between our Roanoke & Lynchburg offices on these days)
- Use cold calling, sourcing tools, and social media platforms to find, engage, and build relationships with healthcare professionals.
- External recruiting: serve as first point of contact for local schools/universities, training centers and healthcare facilities to establish referral sources
- Attract potential applicants by placing advertisements and other outreach media via online & print
- Conduct routine follow-up with all potential candidates from referral sources
- Represent BrightStar Care at local health fairs, recruiting/hiring events, community & networking events (may include some after-hours/occasional weekends)
- Provide general administrative support & help with smooth operations of the office
- Utilize EHR system to input employee file data & documentation
- Participate in after-hours on-call as required (rotational)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Highschool Diploma (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in health administration, human resources or related field
- 2+ years’ experience in healthcare recruiting/homecare recruiting (required)
- Experienced recruiting for positions such as CNA, LPN, RN. etc. (required)
- Previous experience in human resources/working knowledge of HR practices/policies (required)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with ability to travel locally as needed (required)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm (40hrs); May require some weekends and evening hours as needed for events

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
