Role Summary
The PYP Homeroom Teacher is responsible for nurturing, guiding, and facilitating inquiry-based learning aligned with the IB PYP philosophy. The teacher acts as the primary academic and pastoral caregiver for the class.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, deliver, and assess engaging inquiry-based units aligned with the IB PYP framework

Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

Integrate transdisciplinary themes across subject areas

Observe, document, and assess student learning using formative and summative assessments

Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress and wellbeing

Collaborate with specialists and support staff

Support student agency, learner profile attributes, and international-mindedness

Maintain classroom records, portfolios, and reports as per IB and school guidelines
Qualifications & Experience

Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Education

IB PYP training/certification preferred

Minimum 2–5 years of experience (Pre-Primary/Primary)

Strong communication and classroom management skills
