Homeschool teacher/ mothers helper

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Homeschool Teacher/Mother's Helper to support the educational development of children in a home-based learning environment. We have 3 boys 13, 11, and 9. We have set lesson plans and daily curiculum the kids follow. This role involves helping the boys stay on task and andswering grade appropriate questions for math and english. The curriculum uses video lesson plans but you must be able to understand middle school level math and english and foster a positive learning atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have experience in childhood development and a strong background in various educational methodologies.

We are needing help on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings at this time. It will be about 3.5-4 hours during those mornings.

Duties

• Implement curriculum tailored to the individual learning needs of each child.
• Checking progress of students work.
• Helping keep the kids on task and engaged.
• Conduct tutoring sessions as needed to reinforce concepts and improve student understanding.
• Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions and resolve conflicts.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and any concerns that arise.
• Foster a love for learning through creative teaching methods, when applicable.
• Light pick up and clean up of the common household or help with laundry if school finishes early.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
• Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and parents alike.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices is highly desirable.
• Experience with tutoring or teaching various subjects including literacy education and math is preferred.
• Previous experience in private school settings is an advantage.
• Strong writing skills for creating educational materials and communicating effectively with families. Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
