Homologation Supervisor

Role Purpose

The Homologation Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating all vehicle and parts type approval and certification activities to ensure compliance with local, regional, and international regulatory requirements. This role oversees the homologation process from product development to market launch, ensuring that all models and components meet applicable safety, environmental, and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Regulatory Compliance & Certification

  • Lead the homologation process for vehicles, parts, and accessories in line with government regulations and industry standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations, technical standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with local authorities, testing agencies, and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals and certifications.

2. Project Management

  • Develop and manage homologation project timelines to ensure approvals are obtained within launch schedules.
  • Liaise with internal departments (Product Planning, Logistics) and OEM partners to ensure timely submission of required documentation.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular status reports to management.

3. Documentation

  • Prepare and review homologation documentation and test reports.
  • Arrange vehicle testing with authorized laboratories to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records and archives of all homologation approvals.

4. Regulatory Monitoring & Advisory

  • Track and analyze upcoming regulatory changes and assess their impact on products and operations.
  • Advise management on new compliance requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in homologation, type approval, or automotive regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international automotive standards and regulations (UNECE, GCC, EU, etc.).
  • Experience in managing certification processes with governmental authorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with engineering documentation systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Fluency in English.
