Job Purpose
The Sales Team Leader will be responsible for implementing the sales strategy in his/her area of responsibility, the achievement of the sales targets, and the effective management and development of his/her team.
What you will do

Drives area sales performance, achieving all relevant sales Key Business Indicators (KBIs)

Executes and implements all channel activation strategies and plans through the area sales team

Builds and maximizes value-adding relationships with all key customers and stakeholders

Monitors market execution to ensure that it is within company standards

Builds and maintains effective and engaged teams, working closely with his team to deliver sustainable results

Creates and executes strong Individual Development Plans for team members to strengthen the succession pipeline in Commercial Functions

Recognizes and rewards the achievements of the team members and implements actions to strengthen their engagement. On-time and proper management of underperformers in the team by following the relevant procedure.

Builds capability of Sales team through excellent communication, coaching, objective setting, and performance management

Utilizes appropriate leadership style to drive KBIs and market excellence

Identifies and secures new business opportunities within the territory

Develops and uses sound commercial and financial understanding to generate business proposals and solutions

Utilizes market and financial data to support the team in negotiations

Establishes best practices for channel and customers

Works closely with other functions to deliver the commercial strategy in own area
What you will bring to the role

Bachelor’s degree in Economics/Business or equivalent education
-
5 – 8 years of relevant business experience

FMCG Background

Excellent Sales and customer service skills

Result-oriented with good time management skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Willingness to travel as required
