Hospital Administrator – VCA SouthPaws Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Center

We’re a modern, state-of-the-art specialty center offering emergency, critical care, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, surgery, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, cardiology and rehabilitation. What You’ll Do
As Hospital Administrator, you’ll serve as the operational and cultural heartbeat of the hospital. In partnership with the Regional Operations Director and Medical Directors, your core focus areas will include:
Team Leadership – Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing team. Lead scheduling, HR support, and foster a positive, connected culture.
Client & Patient Experience – Oversee smooth daily operations, client service flow, and uphold high standards of care and service.
Hospital Operations – Manage budgeting, payroll, purchasing, reporting, and compliance with company protocols and safety standards.
Facility Oversight – Ensure the hospital is clean, safe, and well-maintained; coordinate maintenance and security as needed.
Marketing & Growth – Support local marketing and referral initiatives, track ROI, and help position the hospital for long-term growth.
Strategic Collaboration – Partner with hospital leadership to set goals, improve systems, and champion the success of associates and the business.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of leadership experience in veterinary, specialty, or emergency hospital operations (multi-department experience preferred)
Proven ability to manage complex hospital operations including scheduling, inventory, payroll, and vendor management
Experience leading, coaching, and developing large, diverse teams
Strong financial acumen—confident in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L oversight
Skilled in fostering service excellence and ensuring a seamless client/patient experience
Comfort working in a 24/7/365 hospital environment, with availability for weekend or after-hours support as needed
