Hospital Lab Technician II (HLT II)Performs duties of an HLT I Phlebotomist. Acts as a team lead and assumes duties of the supervisor in the absence of Lab Supervisor in the outpatient draw lab. Assists with training students in performing blood drawing. Monitor workflow and productivity reports. Helps troubleshoot problems regarding blood drawing. Other tasks include ordering supplies and maintaining temperature logs. Works closely with and under the guidance of Lab Processing Supervisors. Responsible for opening and closing of outpatient draw lab. Performs quick registration of patients and releasing correct Apex orders. This position must perform all duties in a manner that promotes the team concept and reflects the UCSF mission, vision and values.
