HOSPITAL LIAISON – Generations Healthcare Network - for Des Plaines, IL,

Generations Healthcare Network has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Hospital Liaison for our Network Skilled Nursing Facility, Generations Oakton Pavillion, in Des Plaines, IL.

Some local travel and weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities of the Hospital Liaison/Business Development Manager:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, social workers and physicians to generate qualified referrals
  • Facilitate and assess patient referrals for admission to the Skilled Nursing facility
  • Assess referrals for patients with complex ventilator needs
  • Meet with families and patients at facilities to assist with admissions
  • Coordinate promotional events including open houses, health fairs, etc.
Requirements:

of the Hospital Liaison/Business Development Manager:

  • Experience in Healthcare Marketing
  • Sales and Marketing and/or Admissions experience in healthcare with regard to generating referral sources
  • Solid understanding of marketing to Skilled Nursing facilities
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Knowledge of area hospitals and other local healthcare organizations
  • Has established relationships with social workers and discharge planners
  • Good understanding of HIPAA regulations
  • Good understanding of private insurance, Medicare and Medicaid benefits as they pertain to skilled nursing
  • Local travel required (reimbursement provided)
