Hospital Operations Manager – Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery HospitalPurpose of the Role

To oversee and manage the daily operations of the hospital, ensuring full compliance with DHA/MOHAP regulations, adherence to patient safety and quality standards (including JCI principles), and delivering a premium patient experience in cosmetic and plastic surgery services.

Key ResponsibilitiesA. Operations & Administration

  • Manage and coordinate all hospital departments including reception, nursing, surgical units, recovery rooms, and outpatient services.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Monitor daily schedules for surgeries, consultations, and follow-ups to ensure efficiency.
  • Oversee procurement and inventory of surgical instruments, implants, and consumables.
  • Oversee smooth functioning of pre-op, OT, PACU, and post-op units.
  • Approve the daily surgical list and ensure patient readiness for surgery.
  • Supervise coordination between surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, and patient coordinators.
  • Ensure medical equipment maintenance schedules are followed and documented.
  • Approve and monitor operational budgets, purchase requests, and supplier contracts.
  • Maintain and update the hospital emergency preparedness plan (fire, medical, disaster).

B. Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure full compliance with DHA, MOHAP, and other regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain hospital readiness for inspections, audits, and regulatory visits.
  • Lead internal audits for DHA/MOHAP compliance.
  • Ensure all facility, physician, and nursing licenses remain valid at all times.
  • Implement infection control standards, sterilization tracking, and OT safety protocols.
  • Oversee legal and ethical compliance of patient consent processes.
  • Ensure complete, accurate, and secure medical record documentation.
  • Align operational procedures with JCI Patient Safety Goals (patient ID, surgical site verification, etc.).
  • Take the approval of new facility layouts from DHA and ensure compliance with health facility guidelines.

C. Financial & Business Management

  • Work with management to set pricing, discounts, and promotional strategies.
  • Monitor operational expenses and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising care quality.
  • Analyze monthly revenue, occupancy levels, and surgery conversion rates.
  • Approve special pricing, VIP packages, and marketing promotions.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for implants, fillers, devices, and consumables.
  • Track KPIs such as bed occupancy, OT utilization, and surgeon productivity.
  • Reduce waste and operational inefficiencies.

D. Patient Experience & Service Excellence

  • Supervise patient coordinators to ensure a high-end patient service experience.
  • Handle VIP and sensitive cases with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Monitor waiting times and streamline patient flow.
  • Ensure post-operative follow-up systems are implemented and monitored.
  • Review and resolve patient feedback and complaints promptly.
  • Oversee patient education on recovery and post-op care.

E. Staff Management & Development

  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training of medical and non-medical staff.
  • Prepare staff schedules ensuring full coverage in all areas.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and apply disciplinary measures when needed.
  • Organize monthly staff meetings for updates and performance reviews.
  • Coordinate CPD (Continuing Professional Development) for clinical staff.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to department leaders.
  • Manage staff attendance, leave planning, and overtime approvals.

F. Strategic Growth

  • Analyze market trends and adjust hospital service offerings.
  • Introduce new services or procedures in consultation with medical leadership.
  • Build partnerships with medical tourism agencies and wellness centers.
  • Support marketing campaigns targeting patient acquisition and retention.
  • Represent the hospital in conferences, exhibitions, and networking events.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: From AED7,500.00 per month

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • layout amendments: 1 year (Preferred)
  • cosmetic/plastic surgery hospital: 1 year (Preferred)
  • healthcare: 1 year (Preferred)
