- Clinical support: They work with doctors and nurses to select appropriate medications and dosages for patients, recommend the best form of medication (e.g., tablet, injection), and check for potential drug interactions or side effects.
- Patient care: They provide direct patient care by counseling patients on how to take their medications, monitoring treatment effectiveness, and obtaining medication histories.
- Medication safety and quality: They are involved in quality assurance, ensuring medications are stored and dispensed correctly, and contribute to medication safety initiatives.Specialized duties
