DMO (Duty Medical Officer)

Responsibilities:&middot; Manage and supervise pharmacy staff at GEM Hospital, ensuring efficient workflow.&middot; Maintain medication inventory, ensuring timely restocking and minimizing shortages.&middot; Oversee safe and accurate medication dispensing in compliance with hospital policies.&middot; Ensure adherence to state and federal healthcare regulations.&middot; Develop and manage the pharmacy budget to optimize operational efficiency.&middot; Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and hospital administrators to enhance patient care.&middot; Maintain accurate records of medications dispensed and inventory levels.&middot; Implement quality control measures for improved pharmaceutical services.&middot; Manage the daily operations of the OP, IP, and OT pharmacies to ensure medications are dispensed accurately and safely in all patient care areas.&middot; Ensure pharmacy operations comply with NABH standards and regulations.&middot; Conduct regular audits to verify proper medication documentation, accurate dispensing, and regulatory compliance.&middot; Stay updated on OT implants used in lap surgeries and manage their proper handling and distribution.&middot; Prepare and dispense prescribed medications, ensuring accuracy in formulas, ingredients, and prescriptions.&middot; Follow standard procedures for compounding medications, including measuring and mixing ingredients.&middot; Supervise pharmacy staff in tasks such as mixing, packaging, labeling, and dispensing medications.&middot; Educate patients and pharmacy staff about drug interactions, side effects, proper dosage, and medication storage.&middot; Ensure proper handling and security of controlled substances, as well as safe disposal of hazardous medications.&middot; Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, medication costs, and inventory in the pharmacy system.&middot; Test medications to ensure their identity, purity, and strength meet the required standards.&middot; Train and guide pharmacy interns and other medical staff on pharmacy practices, safety measures, and medication knowledge.Candidates requirement:<ul><li>Education: B.Pharm</li><li>Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience as Pharmacy Manager or In-charge in a hospital</li><li>Skills &amp; Knowledge:</li><li>Strong understanding of NABH standards and hospital pharmacy operations.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of medication audits, OT implants, and pharmacy compounding processes.</li><li>Leadership skills and experience managing pharmacy staff.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both with patients and healthcare professionals.</li><li>Ability to manage inventory and ensure accurate record-keeping.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:<ul><li>Leave encashment</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Pharmacy Manager/ Incharge: 10 years (Required)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>Registered Pharmacist (Required)</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: &#8377;45,000.00 - &#8377;55,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Work Location: In person
