Shift Timings : 08 : 00 Am to 05:00 Pm ; 11:00 Am to 08:00 Pm
Sundays - 09 :00 Am to 06:00 Pm
A pharmacist at an eye care hospital involves dispensing specialized ophthalmic medications, counseling patients on proper usage, managing pharmaceutical inventory, and collaborating with ophthalmologists and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
- Medication Dispensing & Management:
- Dispense prescription medications, including specialized ophthalmic preparations (e.g., eye drops, ointments, injections), accurately and in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Review and verify physician orders and prescriptions to ensure accuracy, safety, and suitability for the patient, checking for potential drug interactions, contraindications, and allergies.
- Prepare and label medications according to prescription requirements and legal standards.
- Patient Care & Counseling:
- Counsel patients on the proper administration, dosage, storage, and potential side effects of ophthalmic medications and general health advice.
- Provide comprehensive medication reviews and education to improve patient understanding and adherence to treatment plans.
- Address patient concerns and respond to inquiries about health issues and symptoms with empathy and professionalism.
- Collaboration & Clinical Support:
- Collaborate effectively with ophthalmologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans and optimize drug therapy.
- Participate in clinical rounds or interdisciplinary team meetings to provide pharmacological expertise and contribute to patient care decisions.
- Monitor patient responses to medications and recommend adjustments to healthcare providers as necessary.
- Operations & Compliance:
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceutical supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper handling of controlled substances.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient profiles, pharmacy files, and inventory records using pharmacy management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance initiatives and ensure strict adherence to all legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
