Hospital Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Hospital Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily hospital operations, ensuring efficient coordination between departments, maintaining service quality, and delivering a smooth patient experience. The role focuses on supervision of staff, operational control, patient satisfaction, and adherence to hospital policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Supervision

• Monitor daily hospital activities (OPD, IPD, ICU, Emergency).
• Ensure smooth patient admission, discharge, and transfer processes.
• Coordinate between doctors, nursing, housekeeping, billing, and support teams.
• Ensure proper bed management and patient flow.

2. Staff Supervision & Coordination

• Supervise floor staff, ward assistants, and housekeeping teams.
• Ensure duty rosters and adequate manpower availability.
• Maintain discipline, grooming, and professional behavior standards.
• Provide on-floor guidance and support during emergencies.

3. Patient Care & Service Quality

• Address patient/attendant concerns promptly.
• Conduct regular rounds to monitor patient satisfaction.
• Ensure patient dignity, comfort, and safety standards are maintained.

4. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure adherence to hospital SOPs and NABH guidelines (if applicable).
• Monitor infection control practices.
• Ensure safety protocols and emergency procedures are followed.

5. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily operational reports.
• Escalate critical issues to management.
• Monitor incident reports and corrective actions.
