Job Title: Hospital Unit Head
Location: Zen Kashi Cancer Hospital, Varanasi
Role Overview:
The Hospital Unit Head will oversee the day-to-day clinical and administrative functions of a specific unit within the hospital. This includes ensuring smooth operations, staff management, patient care coordination, quality compliance, cost control, and interdepartmental collaboration to deliver efficient and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management
- Ensure daily functioning of the assigned hospital unit (OPD/IPD/ICU/OT/Ward).
- Monitor patient flow, bed management, OT scheduling, and discharge planning.
- Address operational bottlenecks, patient grievances, and inter-department escalations.
2. Team Leadership & HR Oversight
- Supervise doctors, nurses, and support staff within the unit.
- Review rosters, leaves, training, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain staff discipline, punctuality, and code of conduct compliance.
3. Patient Care & Quality
- Ensure adherence to standard treatment protocols, safety norms, and hygiene standards.
- Drive patient satisfaction by overseeing timely services, patient counseling, and follow-ups.
- Regular audits to maintain NABH or other quality accreditation compliance.
4. Administrative Control
- Oversee inventory, pharmacy coordination, linen, biomedical waste, and facility upkeep.
- Coordinate with billing, TPA, and records for accurate documentation and recovery.
- Ensure timely reporting of incidents, infections, and mortality/morbidity cases.
5. Strategic & Financial Planning
- Monitor departmental budgets, resource utilization, and cost optimization.
- Analyze unit performance metrics: occupancy, revenue, patient feedback, etc.
- Prepare periodic reports and present to hospital management.
6. Stakeholder Communication
- Liaise with consultants, vendors, patient relatives, and third-party agencies (TPA/CSR).
- Organize review meetings with department heads and management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 10 years minimum in hospital administration, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong leadership, coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of hospital software (HIS/EMR), MS Office, and quality standards.
Preferred Qualities:
- Hands-on leadership with empathy for patients and staff.
- Crisis management skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Ethical, process-oriented, and performance-driven.

Pay: ₹1,800,000.00 - ₹2,400,000.00 per year
