Physician Practice Enhancement (PPE) is seeking an experienced Nocturnist/Hospitalist for full time position in Yonkers, New York
St. Josephs Medical Center serves Yonkers and the surrounding communities of lower Westchester and northern Bronx. They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nocturnal Hospitalist to join our team. As a premier healthcare facility located in Yonkers, New York we are committed to providing exceptional care to our patients, ensuring their well-being even during the nocturnal hours. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing comprehensive medical care and performing bedside procedures.
12 hour shifts 7pm-7am
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality medical care to patients during night shifts.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients admitted to the hospital.
- Perform bedside procedures including but not limited to central line placement, lumbar puncture, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and intubation, NG Tube Placement.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, specialists, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Manage and prioritize patient caseload efficiently, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of New York.
- Completion of residency training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing as a Hospitalist, preferably in a nocturnal setting.
- Proficiency in performing bedside procedures with demonstrated competency.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Availability to work night shifts on a rotational basis.
