Hospitality Floater & Beverage Lead – Seasonal (Late Apr – Mid Nov)

Ravenwood is a seasonal gathering space in Kerhonkson, NY — a beautifully renovated 1850s barn where agriculture, food, art, and design come together in celebration of the Hudson Valley and its changing seasons. Each week we host a café, farm stand, and art and design showcase, welcoming guests from near and far into a space built around creative exchange and community.

As we prepare for our 2026 season, we're looking for four new team members who are passionate about food, hospitality, and the kind of meaningful, place-based work we do here. Open positions span both kitchen and retail environments, with BOH and FOH roles available across weekday and weekend shifts. This is a seasonal commitment running from late April through mid-November, with part-time hours ranging from 20 to 30 hours per week.

Job Description / Ideal Candidate

Successful candidates are adaptable, quick-thinking, and thrive in the energy of a busy café and gathering space. This is a dynamic, fluid role that lives at the intersection of front and back of house — one moment your pouring coffee and making cocktails, the next you're jumping on the register or helping the kitchen push through a ticket rush. We're looking for someone who reads a room well, shifts gears without missing a beat, and brings a calm, capable presence to whatever corner of the operation needs them most. The primary focus of this role is beverages — coffee, iced tea, cocktails, beer, and wine — so experience behind a bar or a genuine enthusiasm for local spirits, regional breweries, and Hudson Valley wine producers is a real plus. Above all, we want someone who takes pride in a well-made drink, loves being part of a tight team, and finds deep satisfaction in a service that flows. Full training will be provided. Must be 21 or older to apply.

NOTE: This position is paid hourly via payroll, plus pooled tips which usually range between $50–$150/shift per team member.

Key Responsibilities

Beverage Service (Primary Focus):

  • Prepare and execute all beverage orders — coffee, iced tea, cocktails, beer, and wine
  • Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized beverage station throughout service
  • Develop working knowledge of our local and regional drink offerings to share with guests

BOH & FOH Support:

  • Step in at the register during busy periods to assist with transactions and guest flow
  • Greet and engage guests with warmth and efficiency
  • Run food to tables during service spikes as needed
  • Jump behind the line to help fulfill food and beverage tickets when the kitchen needs backup
  • Assist with prep, plating, and ticket management during high-volume service
  • Potential offsite food prep shift available

Opening & Closing Procedures:

  • Execute opening and closing cleaning checklists with consistency alongside the full team
  • Take ownership of your stations — leaving every space cleaner than you found it

What We're Looking For:

✔ Bartending or Beverage Experience (strongly preferred)
✔ Knowledge of or Enthusiasm for Local Spirits, Beer & Wine (a big plus)
✔ FOH and/or BOH Restaurant or Café Experience (preferred)
✔ Must Be 21 or Older
✔ Fri–Sun Weekend Availability & Holidays
✔ Punctuality & Reliability (of utmost importance!)
✔ Ability to Multitask and Pivot Quickly in a Fast-Paced Environment
✔ Strong Situational Awareness — knows where the team needs support before being asked ✔ Close Collaboration Skills with a Small, Tight-Knit Team
✔ Flexible, adaptable, and positive attitude toward challenges

✔ Capable of standing for extended periods and moving quickly throughout a shift

✔ Must be authorized to work in the US
