Elevation Vacation Rentals is a vacation rental management agency. We currently operate short-term rentals in Snowshoe, WV, Lincoln County, WV, and Navarre Beach, FL. As we move into the quieter summer season, we’re looking to bring on a new team member so they can get comfortable with our systems and operations before the busy winter ski season in Snowshoe begins.

Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Hospitality Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in both guest relations and property care, ensuring smooth operations and a positive experience for all our guests. As the first point of contact for many visitors, you will manage guest communications while also conducting in-person property inspections to help maintain our high standards. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.

This role is a great fit for someone looking for flexible work rather than a full-time position. Outside of a few summer event weekends in Snowshoe, our operations tend to be fairly quiet until the winter ski season ramps up from mid-December through mid-March.

During the winter season, our busiest times are typically in the evening (around check-in time), weekends, and holidays. Timely responses to all guest communications are essential in maintaining our response times and overall guest satisfaction.

  • This position is primarily remote. All in-person responsibilities are related to our Snowshoe-area properties; our Lincoln County, WV and Navarre Beach, FL properties are managed fully remotely. Candidates should generally live within about 3 hours of Snowshoe, WV to reliably handle occasional in-person duties.
  • Those living closer to Snowshoe (within about 30 minutes) may have additional opportunities for in-person work if desired.
  • For team members who do not live locally, overnight accommodations may be arranged when needed for in-person responsibilities, depending on availability.
  • This is a flexible, part-time position where hours vary depending on guest needs and reservation activity. Expect to be scheduled around 3–4 days a week, including alternating weekends, and some holidays. Though our office is closed on major holidays, it is required to have someone scheduled to be available in case of emergency.
  • This is a 1099 position, paid on a monthly basis.

Responsibilities

  • Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accurately.
  • Respond to guest inquiries via phone, email, or messaging with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications while maintaining guest confidentiality through EVR’s property management software and other booking platforms.
  • Provide information about property amenities, rental and management services, local activities/attractions, and events to enhance the guest experience.
  • Perform in-person property inspections, ranging from biweekly to a monthly basis to ensure properties are cared for properly and left in good condition by guests. *Frequency of inspections is shared between team members.
  • Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and effectively to ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, etc.) to fulfill requests or resolve issues.
  • Assist with administrative tasks (record keeping, data entry, marketing/social media) through various programs like Microsoft Excel and Word.

Requirements

  • Must have a working computer and cell phone with adequate cell service and/or Wi-Fi calling abilities.
  • Must live within 3 hours of Snowshoe, WV.
  • Must have AWD or 4WD capable vehicle to perform property inspections during the winter season.
  • Previous experience in customer service is ideal but not required.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
