Job Description: Hospitality Trainer
Location: Dubai, UAE Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time Reports to: Training Manager / Managing Director
Role Objective
We are seeking a versatile and charismatic Hospitality Trainer to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert capable of delivering high-quality, hands-on vocational training across multiple hospitality disciplines. You will be responsible for preparing students for the fast-paced Dubai service industry, ensuring they meet international standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities1. Curriculum Delivery & Practical Training
- Food & Beverage Service: Conduct comprehensive courses on waiter etiquette, fine dining protocols, and table management.
- Bar & Mixology: Teach bartending fundamentals, including cocktail preparation, beverage inventory, and responsible service of alcohol.
- Rooms Division: Lead training for Housekeeping (cleaning standards, chemical safety, room inspections) and Front Office/Front Desk Management (PMS systems, guest check-in/out, concierge services, and complaint handling).
- Culinary Arts: Facilitate basic to intermediate culinary courses, focusing on food safety (HACCP), knife skills, and commercial kitchen operations.
2. Student Assessment & Mentorship
- Evaluate student performance through practical demonstrations and written examinations.
- Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their technical and "soft" skills (communication, grooming, and body language).
- Assist in preparing students for job interviews within the local hospitality sector.
3. Program Development
- Update training materials to reflect current Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) standards and global trends.
- Manage the training lab/mock-up rooms to ensure all equipment is maintained and realistic to a hotel environment.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of operational experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel environment. Prior experience as a Corporate Trainer or Vocational Instructor is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of Front Office systems (Opera/Fidelio), mixology techniques, and HACCP regulations.
- Communication: Exceptional English communication skills (written and verbal). Multilingualism is a significant plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong public speaking abilities, patience, and a passion for mentoring diverse student groups.
