Host/Hostess Job Description

Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Escort guests to their assigned tables and provide menus
- Manage the waitlist and seating arrangements efficiently
- Answer phone calls and assist with reservations or inquiries
- Use POS systems, such as Heartland POS, to process orders and payments accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized host/hostess station
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest concerns or special requests promptly
- Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests

Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and hospitality practices is a plus
- Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations with ease
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
