Duties

• Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm and a positive attitude, making them feel immediately welcomed
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Maintain waitlists, monitor table availability, and communicate wait times clearly to guests
• Assist guests with inquiries about menu items, restaurant policies, or special accommodations through excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth flow of service
• Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally, turning any issues into positive experiences
• Keep the host station organized, clean, and fully stocked with necessary supplies to support daily operations

Experience

• Previous host or hostess experience in a food service or restaurant setting is highly preferred
• Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast and OpenTable.
• Experience in hospitality, hotel services, or guest relations roles is a plus
• Ability to handle high-volume environments while maintaining professionalism and composure
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving etiquette, and phone etiquette enhances guest interactions
• Experience working with diverse teams in fast-paced settings demonstrates adaptability and teamwork
