Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team in providing exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued as they enter our establishment. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest flow efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
  • Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
  • Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the menu and making reservations as needed.
  • Assist in managing waitlists and communicate wait times effectively to guests.
  • Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Handle guest inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
  • Familiarize yourself with the menu offerings to assist guests with questions regarding food and beverages.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to help both guests and team members.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
