Job Summary
Wuyang Casa is a vibrant Asian-fusion restaurant that features grill-at-table Japanese BBQ, where guests can enjoy an interactive and communal cooking experience right at their seat.

We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional hospitality and ensuring a smooth dining experience. You will manage reservations, greet guests, and handle cash transactions efficiently while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

• Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow.
• Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to guests.
• Assist with the POS system for processing orders and payments accurately.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions with precision while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
• Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally to enhance their experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including menus and waiting areas.
• Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional guest services in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications (not all required but preferred)

• PROFICIENCY IN MANDARIN CHINESE IS PREFERRED
• Previous experience in food service or hospitality is required.
• Familiarity with POS (point-of-sale) systems is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette when handling reservations or inquiries.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing guest interactions.
• A passion for providing outstanding guest services in a restaurant or hotel setting is essential.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
