We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our grocery store, providing exceptional service to our customers while efficiently handling transactions. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers with their purchases, managing the cash register, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
Handle cash transactions, including cash handling and balancing the register at the end of shifts.
Provide product demonstrations and upsell items to enhance customer experience.
Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
Address customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and courtesy.
Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve store operations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Basic math skills for handling transactions and retail math calculations.
Familiarity with cash handling procedures and cashiering duties.
Supervising experience is a plus for potential leadership opportunities.
Bilingual abilities are highly valued to assist a diverse customer base.
Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stocking procedures.
Ability to demonstrate products effectively to enhance customer engagement.
