Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant or hotel
- Escort guests to their assigned tables or rooms
- Provide menus and assist with seating arrangements
- Answer phone calls and take reservations
- Manage the waitlist and notify guests when their table or room is ready
- Maintain a clean and organized host/host station
- Assist with guest inquiries and provide excellent customer service
- Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in guest relations or customer service is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, specifically Aloha POS, is a plus
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
- Must have a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Knowledge of hotel or hospitality industry practices is advantageous
