Bouzy is seeking a part-time Host who can manage the front door with warmth, accuracy, and strong floor awareness. This role is responsible for creating a polished first and last impression for guests while supporting reservation flow, phone communication, table readiness, seating accuracy, and overall front-of-house organization. A strong host helps pace the dining room, supports guest satisfaction, and keeps the front of house operating smoothly throughout the shift.
- Greet guests promptly and warmly as they enter the restaurant
- Create a strong first impression through professional, attentive service
- Thank departing guests whenever possible
- Check in with guests waiting to be seated and keep them informed
- Answer phones professionally and manage reservation inquiries accurately
- Maintain the reservation book and support smooth pacing of the dining room
- Complete table checks and stay aware of which tables are occupied, available, or close to turning
- Seat guests fairly while balancing server rotation, guest requests, and table availability
- Maintain full knowledge of the floor plan, table numbers, and sections
- Complete and communicate IOC counts as needed to support pacing
- Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready host stand
- Keep the restaurant entrance, doors, windows, and foyer clean and presentable
- Perform assigned opening and closing side work
- Collect, clean, and organize menus
- Ensure menus are current and presentable
- Communicate menu-printing and replacement needs to management, including special menus as needed
- Work with bussers and servers to ensure tables are reset quickly and correctly
- Occasionally clear tables when needed
- Check restrooms as appropriate to ensure cleanliness and proper stocking
- Communicate guest needs, comments, and service issues to management and the kitchen as appropriate
- Assist management and the front-of-house team as needed to support smooth operations
- Maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Ensure CHG and Bouzy standards are upheld
Preferred
- Prior host or front-of-house experience preferred
- Experience with reservation and phone systems preferred
- Ability to read the room and recognize where support is needed
- Interest in food, beverage, and hospitality
