Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host Cashier to join our team. This role is vital in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth operations at the front of the house. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and experience in food service or hospitality. This position offers an opportunity to be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional guest relations and ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently
• Seat guests promptly and assist with reservations as needed
• Handle cashier responsibilities including taking orders and processing payments using POS systems such as Tray POS
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area
• Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and provide accurate information about the restaurant
• Assist in coordinating guest seating to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
• Support serving staff with guest needs when necessary
• Ensure guest relations are positive by addressing concerns promptly and courteously
• Uphold hospitality standards to enhance overall guest experience

Qualifications

• Prior host/hostess experience preferred, especially within food service or restaurant environments
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for guest-facing roles
• Previous hotel or guest services experience is advantageous but not required
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
