Host / Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking friendly and organized Host/Cashiers to join our team at Bg's Boat House through mid Oct! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and efficient service. Your responsibilities will include greeting and seating customers, and handling transactions with accuracy. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer service. Plenty of free parking. No late night hours. Am/Pm shifts available and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements to optimize flow and efficiency.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately using POS system when doing some Take out orders.
• Assist in assigning tables for servers and managing waitlists effectively to ensure a smooth dining experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including the host stand, stocking paper goods, washing check presenters and menus. Checking restrooms and stocking them.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
• Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly, demonstrating excellent guest relations skills.
• Uphold high standards of hospitality throughout the dining experience, from greeting guests to processing payments.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a host or cashier is preferred but we are willing to train.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with POS systems helpful but not necessary.
• Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling guest inquiries over the phone.
• A positive attitude with a commitment to providing outstanding guest services in all interactions.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
