Alara is hiring a HOSTESS to join our opening team.

We’re a chef-driven, modern Mediterranean restaurant built on ingredient-first cooking and “forgotten hospitality values” — warmth without performance, service with intuition, and a dining room that feels like a welcome.

You’re calm under pressure, naturally gracious, and detail-obsessed in the best way. You don’t just “seat guests” — you guide guests, anticipate needs, and make people feel cared for. You take pride in timing, pacing, cleanliness, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with genuine warmth and set the tone from the first moment
• Answer phone inquires accurately and politely
• Provides exceptional guest service, taking reservations, seating guests, and answering questions
• Monitors dining room for vacant seats while maintaining balance
• Manage traffic flow in and out of restaursnt
• Help maintain a spotless, beautiful entry.
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism, empathy, and urgency
• Help maintain cultire of team work and postivity
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and service standardsMust-haves
• Experiencein a hospitatlity or customer service role (elevated/upscale dining preferred)
• Strong communication, professionalism, and punctuality
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
• Familiarity with Mediterranean cuisines and cultures (a plus)
• Flexible availability (evenings/weekends/holidays)
