Casamara is seeking a polished, poised, and hospitality-driven Host / Hostess to join our front-of-house team. As the first and last impression of the restaurant, this role is critical in setting the tone for an elevated and seamless guest experience.

We are looking for someone who embodies warmth, professionalism, and confidence — someone who understands that luxury hospitality begins at the door.

Position Summary

The Host / Hostess manages reservations, controls the flow of service, and creates a welcoming and organized arrival experience for every guest. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience

  • Greet all guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
  • Manage reservations and waitlists using OpenTable/Resy (or similar platform)
  • Escort guests to tables and provide accurate wait times
  • Maintain constant awareness of dining room flow and pacing

Operational Support

  • Communicate effectively with management, servers, and kitchen
  • Assist with table resets and floor readiness when needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the host stand and entry area
  • Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and VIP notes with discretion

Reservation & Floor Management

  • Strategically seat guests to balance server sections
  • Monitor turn times and pacing throughout service
  • Identify and escalate potential service bottlenecks

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
  • Experience with reservation systems (OpenTable, Resy, etc.) preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask under pressure
  • Professional appearance and polished demeanor
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.95 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
