Host, Hostess, and Server Assistant

Position Overview

We are seeking a polished, confident, and detail-oriented Host / Hostess with experience using Tock reservation systems. This role is essential in setting the tone for the guest experience and ensuring smooth front-door operations in a high-volume dinner and lounge setting.

The ideal candidate understands pacing, guest flow, table management, and how to balance reservations with walk-ins while maintaining an elevated and welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience

• Greet all guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
• Manage waitlists and reservations efficiently
• Maintain a calm, composed presence during peak hours
• Communicate accurate wait times and manage guest expectations

Reservation & Tock Management

• Manage reservations through Tock
• Adjust seating based on real-time table availability
• Handle reservation modifications, cancellations, and notes
• Monitor large party bookings and direct guests to events department when required
• Prevent double bookings and enforce reservation policies respectfully

Floor Flow & Operations

• Strategically seat guests to maintain balanced service flow
• Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and management
• Track table turn times and optimize seating rotation
• Ensure VIP notes and special occasions are acknowledged

Professional Standards

• Maintain a polished appearance
• Stay poised in fast-paced, high-energy environments
• Uphold company policies and reservation guidelines

Qualifications

• Previous host experience in a high-volume restaurant or lounge
• Hands-on experience with Tock (required)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and think quickly under pressure
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and peak service times

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
